Banksticks

Bench sticks are the ideal solution for the white angler who prefers to be lightly packed or does not have too much space. They are easy to store and take up little space. The banksticks have a universal thread on which you can directly place a feeder or rod support.
Bench sticks are especially useful when fishing on soft ground. They are easy to insert into the ground and then adjust in height. The banksticks come in different lengths and can be made almost twice as long when you extend them.
The disadvantage of banksticks is that they cannot be used on hard surfaces such as stone or on scaffolding.
Banksticks come in different materials but the best ones are stainless steel banksticks, so they are a lot more expensive. Aluminium banksticks also work well and are slightly lighter, which makes them a lot cheaper. They can bend or rust faster.

Rod rests

Rod rests come in many shapes and sizes. First of all, a distinction has to be made between supports for the front of the rod and rear supports for the back. For the white angler the front support is often a feeder support or another large and wide support.
For the back of the rod a small and narrow support is used where exactly the back of the rod falls. You can choose between a rear support that clamps the rod or one in which the rod lies loose. This choice is mainly personal and has little to do with good or bad functioning.
The supports always have a universal thread so that they can be placed on any bench stick or other threaded support.

There are also combinations of sofa sticks and rod supports. Think of the well-known forest track supports where the support is incorporated in the telescopic part of the bench stick. The forest track rod support is especially suitable for fixed rods. There are also other variants in which the supported part is incorporated in the bank stick part, this is useful for the novice angler.
