Tubes & aligners

For the carp line there are 2 different tubes to distinguish from each other by different attributes, namely the rig tube and shrink tube.
The rig tube is a flexible, rubber sheath for over the main line and comes on top of the swivel of your rig or on the lead clip. A name that is widely used is the silicone tube. This tube ensures that your carp carp comes and stays in the water in the right way. The tube also ensures that the first part of your main line is protected against damage under water such as plants or branches and even more important; it protects the carp against abrasion of the line against its scales. These tubes are usually sold in meters.

The other tube is a shrink tube which is often placed over the hook or swivel. This shrink tube shrinks when you put it in hot water or keep it in steam. During the shrinking you can bend the tube in the shape you want. When it cools down, it will remain in the same shape. This allows you to ensure that a hook sets even better and your carp rigs become even more effective and successful. This shrink tube is often sold in a few short and straight pieces. They come in all kinds of colours such as camouflage, black, transparent and many other colours.

And then there are the line aligner tubes. They have the same effect as a shrink tube and are actually a variant of the shrink tube. Line aligners differ at the point that they are already pre-formed and are only used on the hook to ensure better hook setting. They provide extra "curvature" of the hook, which has proven itself in a better and faster setting of the hook. They are often pre-formed for various types of hooks or hook sizes. You only need to heat them and place them on the hook. The advantage is that you no longer need to make them yourself and shape them, compared to a shrink tube. The disadvantage is that they can only be used in one way, where shrink tubes can be used for various purposes.
