Artificial Baits

Artificial Baits

Nowadays, in addition to the edible foods, there are also imitation bait species. These are available in many types, sizes and flavors. Think of fake corn, fake boilies and fake pellets in all colors you can think of. They are also available in floating and sinking.

When do you use fake bait compared to edible bait and what are the advantages?

Nowadays there are a lot of carp anglers who all want to catch one or more carp with the well known bait species. Therefore some adjustments in the bait are necessary to give the fish something different. Think for example of a bright pink colored piece of corn on top of your standard bait. It is different than normal and therefore the fish will sooner switch to bait. The big advantage of a fake bait is that it stays on the hair or hook very well, so you won't have to replace it as quickly.

In addition, there are so many different species that you can make any combination. Imitation bait is available in: corn, pellet, maggots, boilies, tiger nuts and more!
Make combinations in the sense of a snowman, a brightly protruding corn on a particle bed or a floating pellet on the surface.

Tip: let your imitation bait soak in a boilie dip or boilie flavour for even more attraction!
