Feeder & rod support

Feeder & rod support

For many anglers, a day of fishing should be done in a relaxed way. When you see a real fanatic or competition angler, you never see them holding their pole the whole day long. Despite the fact that the rod material is becoming lighter and lighter, this is quite a task for the longer lengths. A pole or rod support is an excellent solution for this. You have your hands free for other things. Because you have different ways of fishing within coarse fishing using different rods, you also have various rod supports. We divide them into two categories. Feeder supports and poles.

Pole supports

Whether you are a beginner with a small pole or a competition angler with a 13.0 meter pole a pole support is always handy. It is important that after a bite registration you can quickly get the rod out of the pole support. Of course the pole support is completely different between a 3.0 a 13.0 meter rod.

But many coarse anglers fish with a seat box and often on a plateau. That is why there are also rod supports that you can attach to the platform or the seat box. Make sure that the support has an attachment point for the correct diameter. Often 25 or 36mm attachment points are used.
Because the fixed rods are getting longer and longer, the use of a stick is recommended. When you drill the fish, unhook or change a harness, you have to lose a lot of length. The easiest way to do this is with a fixed rod with a smoothly rotating stub roller. It is also a preservation for your fishing rod, which no longer lands on the ground carelessly.

Banksticks and rod supports

Banksticks are the ideal solution for coarse anglers who likes to be packed light or doesn't have lots of space. They are easy to store and they take hardly space. Banksticks are especially useful when you are fishing on a soft undergound. They are easy to drill in to the ground and to adjust them in height. The banksticks are available in various lengths and most banksticks can almost be made twice as long as they are standard.
The disadvantage of banksticks is that they cannot be used on hard grounds like rocks or pier.
Banksticks are available in various materials, but the most sustainable are stainless steel banksticks, these are also more expensive. Aluminum banksticks also work perfectly fine and they are a much lighter ánd cheaper. But they will bend quicker or rust easier.

Feeder arms & rod supports

At the feedervissen we do not have a bob as a bite registration. The extremely sensitive rod tip must record even the smallest bite. It is obvious that you can not control a feeder rod. This must be laid stable and at right angles to the line for optimal bite registration. For the feeder rod the support consists of 2 parts. The feeder arm, which is a long, adjustable support that you can often attach to a platform or seat box. There are also feeder arms that you can put in the ground if you do not use a seat basket. With the feeder arm you can also determine the angle in which the rod should lie. At the end of the feeder arm comes the second part, the feeder support where the top will come to lie. A feeder support can be recognized by the wide rod support for various laying options. You will find all the feeder arms and feeder rests here.

Of course you can also use the various rod supports for other fishing tackle such as carp and predatory fish.
